The semi-annual primary silver auction at Heritage Auction House is taking place on May 22, 2026 in Dallas, Texas. As always, the auction has a lot of really important and major pieces made by Tiffany as well as many awesome pieces of sterling silver mixed with other metals. There are also many cool serving pieces made by various companies like Gorham, George W. Shiebler, Reed & Barton and many others.

The huge highlight in this auction is The Hamati Collection of Georg Jensen sterling silver flatware and hollowware items. There are so many items that the auction house decided to publish a separate companion catalog that features all the items by themselves in one volume.

With so many Georg Jensen items being sold at one time, we feel that this could be an excellent opportunity to scoop up some bargains. There are only so many collectors for Georg Jensen and right now Ebay and other on-line sites are saturated with a lot of pieces, so with this huge volume hitting the market all at once, it's very possible to pick up some pieces at a hugely discounted price due to over supply and not enough demand. The very best of the items will always of course go for good prices, but some of the midland pieces that most collectors already own are where there could be some good opportunities.
